Andrea Achilli's main fields of research are membrane processes for water reuse and desalination and energy recovery from water and wastewater processes. Specifically, his research focuses on process integration, modelling, and optimization for advanced water and wastewater treatments. Dr. Achilli is the Principal Investigator of the multi-million and multi-year Water Resiliency and Self-Sufficiency in the Arid Southwest Research Program, funded by the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC).
