Professional Trainings

Organizations interested in utilizing WEST's expertise and fully equipped facility for technical training and certification can work with University of Arizona faculty to develop short courses for professional development.  The RAPID short course on membrane technology is an example of a training for engineering professionals developed and delivered in partnership with WEST.  Continuing education credit (CE) modules for utility personnel can be made available upon request.

Education

University of Arizona graduate and undergraduate students gain specific skills and experience in industry-sponsored internships as they pursue their degrees.  Students also have the opportunity to conduct research of interest to industry and utilities at WEST while fulfilling thesis and dissertation research requirements.

Local high school groups and others can visit WEST to learn about important water technologies and innovations being studied at the Center.  WEST is available for tours that enable more in-depth educational experiences.
