WEST well represented at IWA Regional Water Reuse Conference

Five University of Arizona (UA) researchers specializing in water purification and analysis participated in this year’s IWA Regional Conference in Phuket, Thailand in Oct/Nov 2018.  The conference, focused on opportunities for water reuse in Southeast Asia, drew a wide variety of participants and showcased innovations and research related to technologies and developments needed to advance safe water reuse in the region.  Topics included techniques for pharmaceutical degradation, detection of heavy metals, removal of PFOA, application of light scattering techniques, reduction of CO2 emissions in sewage treatment, and more.

Professor Shane Snyder of UA West Center, currently on sabbatical at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, was on the Conference Organizing Committee as well as a Keynote Speaker for the event.

Additional researchers from University of Arizona / WEST Center traveled to Thailand to attend and present findings.  Presenters and their research are listed below.
