New Marana Water Reclamation Facility Gears up for Operation

Breaking ground on a new Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) in February 2017, Marana Water - a WEST Center member - began early operation of the new facility on June 25, 2018. While final completion of the plant is scheduled for mid-August 2018, the facility's Construction and Safety Committee nevertheless hosted a group of AZ Water Association visitors on June 27. The $24.9 million WRF is permitted and ready to begin generating recharge credits right away. The construction of the new WRF is part of the Marana Water Reclamation Facility Master Plan.
