WEST Center collaborators guide projects, contribute expertise, and encourage innovative approaches to developing solutions to water and energy challenges. Collaborators at the WEST Center include:

Center Partners have close ties with the WEST Center, providing local direction and expertise. Partners include Pima County Wastewater Reclamation Department, Tucson Water, and the University of Arizona's College of Engineering and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Industry Members have priority access to WEST's state-of-the-art research facility and world class expertise in chemical and microbial emerging contaminant analyses, emerging technologies, monitoring advancements, and more. Members, joining WEST at one of three membership levels, guide the Center's direction as the Industry Advisory Board (IAB). They sponsor individualized research projects at the WEST facility and collaborate with other members in complementary industries. Read more about WEST membership and current members here.
UA Affiliate Centers include the BIO5 Institute, Biosphere 2, and the Institute for Energy Solutions (IES). Researchers cooperate across affiliate boundaries to enhance project design, outcomes, and real-world application of advancing technology.
IES advances energy science, policy, and technology research & development at UA with outreach & educational activity. Expertise includes solar, bioenergy, forecasting & storage (thermal & batteries)-and testbed facilities to assess & optimize technology.
The Biosphere 2 is a laboratory for controlled scientific studies, an arena for scientific discovery and discussion, and a provider of public education.
BIO5 Institute aims to harness the collaborative power of five core research areas-agriculture, engineering, medicine,science,and pharmacy-to find bold solutions to complex problems.
